The faculty and staff at Martin Luther School are the heart of our Christ-centered community. Our team brings together experienced, credentialed educators who are passionate about nurturing the whole child — academically, spiritually, and socially. Many of our teachers hold degrees from Concordia University and other accredited institutions, and several hold specialized certifications in their areas of instruction. Our staff participates in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in education and faith integration. Together, they create a safe, loving, and academically rigorous environment where every student is known by name and encouraged to grow in knowledge and faith.

Our dedicated faculty and staff kindle character, spark joy, and ignite curiosity through the light of Christ every day. They are compassionate leaders and Christ-centered servants who see every student as one of God’s unique creations.

Emily Andrew has been part of the Martin Luther School family for a couple of years and has quickly become an invaluable resource to our teachers, students, and staff. She assists in the classroom, leads our Friendzy social-emotional learning program, and supports students in our after school care program. Her warm presence and dedication make her a treasured part of the MLS community.

Rev. Chris Ramstad serves as Pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church and School Shepherd of Martin Luther School in Joplin, Missouri — a trained Lutheran educator and ordained LCMS pastor who has shepherded the MLS community since September 2023.

Jason Glaskey

Jason Glaskey has served as Director of Christian Education at Immanuel Lutheran Church and Martin Luther School since 2008. Known simply as “Mr. Glaskey” to his students and “Jason” to practically everyone else, he teaches middle school religion, leads youth group for students in grades 5–12, and brings energy, humor, and genuine faith to everything he does at MLS. Daniel Comfort Dog is Joplin’s LCC K-9 Comfort Dog, serving Immanuel Lutheran Church and Martin Luther School since January 2023 — a Golden Retriever trained by Lutheran Church Charities to bring mercy, compassion, and the presence of Christ to hospitals, schools, and communities in need. Services are always free.
