The faculty and staff at Martin Luther School are the heart of our Christ-centered community. Our team brings together experienced, credentialed educators who are passionate about nurturing the whole child — academically, spiritually, and socially. Many of our teachers hold degrees from Concordia University and other accredited institutions, and several hold specialized certifications in their areas of instruction. Our staff participates in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in education and faith integration. Together, they create a safe, loving, and academically rigorous environment where every student is known by name and encouraged to grow in knowledge and faith.

Our dedicated faculty and staff kindle character, spark joy, and ignite curiosity through the light of Christ every day. They are compassionate leaders and Christ-centered servants who see every student as one of God’s unique creations.

Sue Doennig

Serving in public schools as an English Teacher, now retired, Mrs. Doennig is a handler and caregiver for Daniel Comfort Dog. She also volunteers in the school library.

Marlene Thorne

Previously an Early Childhood and Kindergarten teacher in our school for many years, Miss Thorne continues serving as one of our volunteer librarians.

Rev. Chris Ramstad

Pastor Chris Ramstad began his time here at Martin Luther School and Immanuel Lutheran Church in September of 2023. Pastor Ramstad, his wife Mollie, and their four children Katheryne, Bryan, Paul, and Olivia, come to us from another Immanuel Lutheran Church in Columbus, Nebraska. Before studying at the Seminary in Saint Louis, Missouri, Pastor Chris and his wife served the Lord for several years as teachers in a Lutheran elementary school much like ours. Jason Glaskey

Mr. Jason Glaskey has been serving our church and school since 2008. As a Director of Christian Education (DCE), he trains, equips, and encourages God’s people in all areas of faith and discipleship — especially through Youth and Family Ministry. Mr. Glaskey teaches our middle school religion class at MLS. He also serves as a handler for Daniel Comfort Dog. Jason is married to Mrs. Lyla Glaskey, a Martin Luther School upper grades teacher. Bringing Mercy and Compassion A Comfort Dog is a friend who brings a calming influence and allows people to open up their hearts and receive help for what is affecting them. Immanuel & Martin Luther’s Comfort Dog Team visits people in hospitals, nursing homes, schools, and at community events, sharing mercy and compassion with those hurting or in need.
