What You’ll Find in the Portal
The FACTS Family Portal gives current MLS families access to a wide range of tools and information, including academic grades and progress reports, daily attendance records, lunch menus and ordering, school announcements and calendar events, teacher contact information, and tuition account management. It’s the place where our school community stays connected and informed throughout the year.
The Glow — Our Weekly Newsletter
Every week, MLS families receive The Glow, our school newsletter packed with upcoming events, classroom highlights, chapel themes, volunteer opportunities, and important reminders. The Glow is posted in the FACTS portal and also sent via email — it’s the best way to stay in the loop on everything happening at Martin Luther School. The name reflects our school’s mission of “lighting the flame” of faith and learning in every child.
Starting the 2026–2027 Year
A few dates and resources to get the year started well:
- Thursday, August 13 — Meet the Teacher Day, 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. and 5:00–7:00 p.m. School pictures are taken during both windows.
- Wednesday, August 19 — First day of school
- 2026–27 Class Supply List — Every grade, ready to shop from
- Dress Code — Approved colors, shoes, winter wear, and where to shop. Note: Light Blue is newly approved, and 2026–27 is the last year red polos are allowed.
- 2026–27 School Calendar — Every date for the year
Your Child’s Faith Family This Year
Your child belongs to a Faith Family — a small mixed-age group, kindergarten through eighth grade, led by one member of our staff. They sit with that group in chapel every Wednesday, and they will keep the same group and the same leader until they graduate. If you do not know who your child’s Faith Family leader is, ask them tonight. It is a good dinner-table question.
Eight times this year the schedule stops and the groups meet for the current Friendzy character unit, then eat lunch together. Friendzy is taught weekly in every classroom too, with the whole school on the same unit at once — so the catchphrase below is the one your child is hearing all month.
