Celebrating Advent and Christmas at Martin Luther School

The Advent and Christmas season is one of the most special times of year at Martin Luther School. Our students have been preparing their hearts to celebrate the birth of our Savior through daily Advent devotions, special chapel services, and classroom activities that bring the Christmas story to life.

This year’s Christmas program was a beautiful reminder of why faith integration matters in education. From our youngest Early Childhood students singing “Away in a Manger” to our Upper Grades students reading the Christmas Gospel from Luke 2, every child had a role in proclaiming the good news of Jesus’ birth to their families and our congregation at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

We are also grateful for the generosity of our school community. MLS families and staff participated in service learning projects throughout December, collecting items for local families in need and spreading Christ’s love beyond our school walls. This is what it means to be Christ-Centered Servants — one of our five core values.

As we head into Christmas break, we give thanks to God for a wonderful first semester. Merry Christmas from the Martin Luther School family!

Moments like these reflect our mission to kindle character, spark joy, and ignite curiosity through the light of Christ. The Advent and Christmas season at MLS is a beautiful reminder of why we fan into flame a passion for Christ in every child (2 Timothy 1:6).
