There are no classes for students on Friday, September 4, 2026. Teachers and staff are still at school, and they are still working.
PD stands for professional development, and it is not a day off. Our faculty and staff spend the day together in meetings designed for them — learning, training, and planning as a team. They look at how students are doing, sharpen how they teach, and grow together in the calling they share.
These days are built into the calendar on purpose. Ongoing professional development was one of the strengths our accreditation team singled out for praise. This one falls just before Labor Day weekend. Monday, September 7 is Labor Day, also no school, so classes resume Tuesday, September 8.
