Join Immanuel Lutheran Church for our Teacher Installation service on August 23, 2026 at 9:00 am. This special worship service welcomes and commissions the teachers and staff of Martin Luther School for the 2026-2027 school year. The congregation prays over each teacher as they are installed into their calling to serve God’s children at MLS in Joplin, MO.
Teacher Installation is a cherished tradition in Lutheran schools across the country. During the service, Pastor Christopher Ramstad leads the congregation in prayer and the Rite of Installation, asking God to bless each teacher with wisdom, patience, and joy as they serve the students of Martin Luther School. It is a beautiful reminder that teaching at a Lutheran school is more than a job — it is a sacred calling.
This service is a wonderful way for the MLS community to come together before the school year begins. Families, church members, and friends are all encouraged to attend and show their support for the dedicated teachers who pour their hearts into our students every day. Teacher Installation takes place during the regular Sunday worship service at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2616 Connecticut Ave in Joplin, MO.
