Welcome Back to a New School Year at Martin Luther School

Welcome Back to a New School Year at Martin Luther School

We are thrilled to welcome our students and families back for the 2025–2026 school year at Martin Luther School! This year marks another exciting chapter in our 70+ year history of Christ-centered education in Joplin, Missouri.

This fall, we are launching two new initiatives that we believe will make a real difference in student learning. Our Math Power Hour and Reading Power Hour programs use NWEA MAP data to group students by skill level for targeted instruction. Every child gets exactly the challenge or support they need to grow. We have also adopted the 7 Mindsets social-emotional learning program and Friendzy EQ curriculum to help our students develop resilience, empathy, and strong character alongside their academics.

Our theme for the year continues to reflect our mission: KINDLING character, SPARKING joy, and IGNITING learner curiosity in every child through the LIGHT OF CHRIST. We are grateful for our dedicated teachers, supportive families, and the faithful partnership of Immanuel Lutheran Church that makes this ministry possible.

If your family is considering Martin Luther School, we invite you to schedule a campus visit and see what makes MLS special. Welcome back, Eagles!
