Thursday, April 8, 2027. Kindergarten Declaration Night begins at 6:00 p.m., and the Academic Fair follows from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. School is in session that day as usual.
Kindergarten Declaration Night is for families sending a child to Kindergarten next fall. Come meet the teacher, see the classroom, and get your questions answered by the people who will have your five-year-old all day. If you are deciding between schools, this is the evening that will decide it.
The Academic Fair opens right after, and it is for everyone. Students from across the grade levels show research projects, experiments, and creative work they have spent the year on. It is the best half hour available for seeing what MLS students actually produce — not a brochure claim, the work itself, with the student standing next to it ready to explain.
No ticket and no charge. Bring grandparents.
If you are considering Kindergarten at MLS, read the Kindergarten page beforehand, and note that the discounted enrollment fee deadline is one week later, April 15. You can also schedule a tour to see an ordinary school day, which tells you different things than an evening event does.
