National Lutheran Schools Week runs Sunday, January 24 through Saturday, January 30, 2027. These are regular school days — no schedule change.
The week opens with our own students. Early Childhood through 8th grade sing at the 10:30 a.m. service at Immanuel Lutheran Church that Sunday, with a free all-school-and-church breakfast in the gym at 9:15 beforehand.
Every year the roughly 1,800 Lutheran schools of the LCMS keep this week together — one week to say plainly what a Lutheran school is for. Not a better test score, though we will take those. A child who knows Christ, taught by adults who confess Him, in a place where the faith is not smuggled in around the edges of the day but is the reason for the day.
Specific activities and dress-up days come out through The Glow newsletter closer to the week. Watch there and in the FACTS Family Portal.
It is a good week for a visiting family to come and look around, and the timing is deliberate — enrollment opened to the public on January 19. Schedule a tour and see us during the one week of the year we are least shy about what we are.
